Ingredients
- Irish whiskey45 ml
- Sweet vermouth45 ml
- Green Chartreuse15 ml
- Absinthe2 dashes
- Angostura bitters2 dashes
- Orange bitters2 dashes
- Ice
Garnish
Orange twist expressed over the top and discarded

Method
- Put the Irish whiskey, the sweet vermouth, the green Chartreuse and the dashes of absinthe, Angostura and orange bitters in a mixing glass with plenty of ice.
- Stir about 30 seconds.
- Strain into a well chilled coupe, no ice.
- Express the orange twist over the top and discard it.
About
Somewhere between a Manhattan and a Bijou, with Irish whiskey taking the lead instead of rye or gin. It first appeared in a 1917 cocktail book.
